EC orders political parties to advertise their criminal records

Took a big step, the EC has ordered all the candidates to advertise their criminal records during the poll campaign on at least 3 different dates in newspapers and famous TV channels, making it mandatory, to make elections more transparent. The candidates now have to fill an amended form (26). They are also required to inform their parties about the cases in which they were found guilty and the cases under trial.
