'MotiBagh', Documentary based on the life of a Himalayan farmer nominated for Oscar

An Indian documentary 'MotiBagh' based on the life of a farmer from a remote Himalayan village has been nominated for Oscar. The documentary tells the story of the struggles of an 83 years old man from Uttarakhand. The state's CM Trivendra Singh Rawat congratulated the director Nirmal Chander Dandriyal for his work. The CM said that the documentary is based on the life of Vidyadutt, a farmer from Pauri Garhwal region.
