Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad win 2018 Nobel Peace Prize

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded 2018 Nobel Peace Prize to Congolese doctor Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad, who is a member of the Yazidi minority in Iraq, for their efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict. The two were chosen over 331 nominations (216 individuals and 115 organisations) which the second highest number of nominees ever after 2016 in which 376 were nominated.
