Delhi: Authorities will be notified when the garbage is full, thanks to Smart Garbage Bins

SAIL launches Internet of Things (IoT) driven garbage bins that send signals to authorities once the bin is full across North & South Delhi. These smart garbage bins have a real-time indicator of the garbage level, use ultrasonic sensors to detect the trash level & thus prevent overflowing of the bins. Improper garbage disposal leads to bad odour & several health issues. SAIL soon plans to scale-up & commercialise it.
