Death for one, life imprisonment for other by HC in 1984 Riots case

Accused in the 1984 Riots, Yashpal Singh and Naresh Sehrawat have been announced death sentence and life imprisonment respectively. The order came on Tuesday by the Patiala House Courts. They are being punished for murdering two Sikhs in South Delhi's Mahipalpur area on 1 November 1984. Both the convicts are also asked to pay the fine of Rs 35 lakh each. With Yashpal, it is the first death sentence in the 1984 riots.
