Census 2021: Mobile app, bank accounts to be used for data collection

In a first, Census 2021 will gather data through smartphones, DTH/Cable TV connection, internet access, bank accounts of citizens. The process includes an Android-based optional mobile application. The government is working on an app which the 30 lakh enumerators will have to download on their personal mobile phones for data entry. After downloading, they will further receive an additional payment as an incentive.
