California will be sued by the Justice Department as Governor Jerry Brown has signed a legislation to restore open internet protections which are known as net neutrality in the state. Jerry took the step after the Trump administration canceled the rules in December 2017. The US Attorney General Jeff has said that the states don’t have the power to regulate interstate commerce, only the federal government can do so.
