Beggar run over by train in Mumbai had Rs 8.77 lakh in FDs, coins worth Rs 1.75 lakh

After an 82-year-old beggar, Biradichand Pannaramji Azad was run over by a train in Mumbai, near Mankhurd and Govandi stations on Friday, the Railway Police found Rs8.77 lakh in his FDs and Rs 1.75 lakh of coins in his shanty. After the incidence, the Police also tried contacting Azad's son who lives in Rajasthan. “We found 4 big dabbas and a barrel. He had hidden coins in plastic pouches,” said, sub-inspector Pravin Kamble.
