The asteroid which wiped away dinosaurs from Earth is believed to be equivalent to 10 billion atomic bombs used in World War II. The impact had led to massive tsunamis and wildfires, according to new research. The findings suggest the asteroid blasted so much sulfur into Earth’s atmosphere that it led to the blocking of the sun rays and it caused such a global cooling that resulted in the extinction of dinosaurs.
