Cricket fans were left bemused last month when it emerged names and numbers could be added to Test whites this year. Such a change would end 142 years of history. However, ICC’s April Fool’s Day jokes have thrown a spanner in the works. On Monday, ICC published the first of a host of ‘new rules’ for Test cricket. It left fans scratching their heads given the possibility of names and numbers coming to the Ashes.
