All plastic items less than 50 micromax thickness banned in 6 Odisha cities

In order to protect the environment, the Odisha Government has banned the usage of plastic bags and polythene in 6 cities- Puri, Rourkela, Cuttack, Berhampur, Sambalpur, and Bhubaneshwar. The govt. has said that all the plastic items less than 50 micromax thickness will not be used anymore. Households will have to pay Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 1000 if found using plastic followed by criminal proceedings.
