Air India to become first Indian airline to fly over North Pole

Air India is set to become the first Indian airline to travel over the North Pole with the introduction of New Delhi-San Francisco flight. It is learnt that the route will be taken for the first time by August end. While the current route travels via the Pacific ocean to enter the US, the new route would save 90 minutes where it will travel through Russia, the Arctic Ocean, Canada before entering the United States.
