In 1979, a woman was found dead in her apartment & the police believed she was strangled to death after sexual assault. However, they kept tracing the leads and kept tabs for decades. Detectives reached out to a firm called Parabon Nanolabs to see if they could solve the case by cross-referencing suspect's DNA with public DNA profiled using a free ancestry & genealogy database-GEDmatch. And they have been successful.
