In a first for an Indian firm, Bengaluru firm designed two snipper rifles

The sniper rifles are meant to be used by the armed forces. SSS Defence, which has begun work on constructing an 80,000 sqft arms factory in Jiganj 28 km from Bengaluru, is hoping to put the two weapons on trial with the forces very soon. They are not acquiring ready-made technology from abroad to assemble and get the arms ready; instead, they are designing and developing on their own. Accessories will also be offered by the firm.
