A British newspaper 'Morning Post' had raised a whopping sum of 26000 pounds for the benefit of General Reginald Dyer, the man behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Acc to author Kim Wagner, people from all walks of life, contributed to support Dyer & he wrote a letter of thanks.
