If we go by the data, 33% of the pollution in the national capital is due to crop burning in neighbouring states. The burning has contributed to Delhi’s PM2.5 concentration on Monday. The reason for the rise in pollution level in Delhi is the same from last few years. The capital saw the maximum impact on 26 Oct when it contributed to as much as 36%. The pollution level is expected to decline as the upper winds are slow.
