US closing PLO office for not taking advanced steps with Israel

The PLO’s mission in Washington will be closed as announced by the US. The PLO office didn’t take steps to proceed the start of direct and significant negotiations with Israel, the US State Department said. Spokeswoman Heather Naurert said that they have allowed the office to move ahead with the aim of achieving a lasting, comprehensive peace b/w Israel and Palestinians since the expiry of the previous waiver in 2017.
