During his time John Adams, the 2nd President of US and the founding member of US’s democracy, in 1798 signed the Alien and Sedition Act along with other things, which made it illegal to criticize the President or the other executive branch officials. Though the law doesn't exist anymore, the current President of US, Trump feels the need for the same and says “Don't know why Washington politicians don't change libel laws?"
