World’s first LNG-powered cruise ship floated out

The world’s first LNG-powered cruise ship, AIDAnova, was floated on Tuesday at Meyer shipyard in Germany’s Papenburg. With ‘green cruising’ design, a ship has been built in compliance with the rules of classification society RINA and has a length of 337 meters, a width of 42 meters and a maximum draught of 8.8 meters. The ship is first of 3 LNG-powered ships planned for AIDA brand. Other two expected to join in 2021 and 2023.
