After Gujarat, Uttarakhand slash penalties for traffic violations; Karnataka to follow suit

After Gujarat, Uttarakhand became the 2nd state to slash penalties for traffic violations & even Karnataka shall follow Gujarat's decision. Uttarakhand has lowered the fine amount from Rs 5000 to Rs 2500 for driving without a licence; fine for creating sound & air pollution with the vehicle has been amended to Rs 2500 for 1st-time offense while Rs 5000 for a 2nd-time offense. The Centre’s fine for the same is Rs 10000 for both.
