Tribal woman to drive MSRTC buses in Maharashtra for the first time

It is for the first time that Tribal woman was selected by the Maharashtra government to drive MSRTC buses. The corporation's initiative was inaugurated on Friday by a former president, Pratibha Patil. 163 women were selected for this pilot mission. The women were happy after being employed and as they broke the taboo in society. The female drivers requested a safe place to stay during the night as they might go outside.
