'Tejas Express' that runs on Delhi-Lucknow route is the first train run by private operators

The Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express becomes the first train to run by private operators. This indicated that despite protests from its unions; railways went ahead with its 100-day agenda of handing over operations of 2 of its trains to the private sector. Tejas Express was one of the awaited trains on that route & is currently stationed at Annandnagar, UP. It will be operated by private players but the custody will be with IRCTC.
