Amid the rising Covid-19 cases, Sudanese authorities have imposed restrictions on travellers from India amid concerns over the highly infectious B.1.617 variant, that was first found here. Apart from this, international travellers who have visited India within the prior two weeks will also be barred from entering Sudan. The health authorities in the country have warned that Covid-19 cases could breach the 1 lakh mark by mid-June.
