Seat occupancy in Indian carriers lowest in 18 months

Delayed festival season and excess supply has caused lowest seat occupancy in the Indian carriers in last 19 months. SpiceJet has recorded the least number of empty seats but witnessed the biggest fall in the basis points year-on-year drop in last 56 months. Passenger growth was also slowest in the last 56 months as festival season travel was delayed this year. Even Indigo market share was stable, Jet group fell to its lowest.
