Railway station to be built inside a 27 km tunnel will be India's first

At a height of 3000 metres, soon to be built Keylong station on Bilaspur-Manali-Leh line will be India's first railway station built inside a tunnel. Keylong is 26 kms north of Manali and 120kms from Indo-Tibetan border. This railway line, very close to Sino-India border, will connect many important stations in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir and help in transporting goods and personnel to the frontier areas.
