Railway track maintenance to become privatized

After privatizing sections like ticketing, food and bed rolling, railways are now privatizing the track maintenance work too. The manpower is not adequate for track patrolling and maintenance and that is why this decision has been made. There will be a senior section engineer who will train the outsourced trackmen. There are repeated accident and derailments happening and to prevent that railway has taken this decision.
