Q1 Foreign trip bills of the Indians touched new highs

Indians are spending a huge amount on international traveling, and in June 2019 alone they have spent a whopping $596 million, highest since the RBI started collating the data under the liberalized remittance scheme. In the Q1 of 2019, international travel has cost the country $4,181 million in forex. According to WTO, in 2019, approximately 5 crore Indians will travel overseas, nearly twice more than what it was in 2017.
