Number of Foreign tourist arrivals crossed 10-million mark in 2017

2017 was a good year for Indian tourism as for the first-time Foreign tourist arrival in the country has crossed the 10- million mark and the earning from tourism industry has crossed 27 billion dollars. Union Tourism Minister KJ Alphons has said that tourism sector is contributing 6.88% to India’s GDP and with increasing number of tourist India’s ranking on the Tourism Competitiveness Index will also increase.
