Mumbai’s flamingo sanctuary rides to start soon

From February 1, you can watch flamingos and wetland birds with a boat ride through the Thane creek mangroves. The area was announced a 1,690-hectare flamingo sanctuary in 2016. The trip will be 1-hour long beginning from Navi Mumbai’s Airoli to Vashi. For 1 seat on a large boat named Flamingo, it will cost Rs 300 on weekdays and Rs 400 on weekends. People can even hire the 7-seater named ‘Kaustubh’ for Rs 5,000.
