Majority of AAI airports ran at a loss, only 8 made profit last year

In 2016-17, Airports Authorities of India had only generated profits from 8 airports among 102 total airports in the country. 90% of the airports have incurred losses, Delhi’s Safdarjung being on the top with 92 crores of loss. Amritsar airport has also seen losses worth 50.52 crores. Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Leh, Lucknow, Mangalore, Patna and Tiruchirappalli are 8 airports that had generated profits in last year.
