Louvre museum in Paris was the most popular and most visited museum in the world in 2017, according to Theme Index and Museum Index report. 8.1 million people visited the iconic museum in Paris last year to make it the most popular museum globally. Among other museums, Victoria and Albert Museum in London experience 25% surge in the number of visitors this year. Among top 20 museums, 7 museums are from China.
