Italy’s Prosecco hills join UNESCO World Heritage list

Italy’s Prosecco hills, northeast of Venice, has been added to the World Heritage list by UN cultural organization making it Italy’s 55th World Heritage site. The Conegliano and Valdobbiadene hills are famous for cultivating the grapes producing the popular prosecco sparkling wine. The rugged terrain stretches for 30 kilometers. Prosecco sparkling white has the highest classification available to Italian wine.
