IndiGo and GoAir have been barred from using their A320 Neo planes by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to the overseas routes. The reason for the ban is their Pratt & Whitney engines, which have been going through some issues. The decision has come after a flight having P&W engine going from Chennai to Kolkata in mid-air experienced a loud bang, sparks and smoke due to which it made emergency landing in Chennai.
