India has introduced a flexible e-tourist visa to boost the tourism industry. However, the e-tourist visa will be based on the tourist footfall, with a higher fee for the peak time (July -March) and a lower fee for the lean period. For the lean period, the visa fee will be around $10, and for the peak period, it will be $25. The new 5-years and 1-year tourist e-visa will also be introduced with a fee of $80 and $40 respectively.
