India to become 3rd largest tourism economy

As per 2018 economic impact report, in terms of direct and total GDP, India will become 3rd largest third largest travel and tourism economy by 2028. The report was published by World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). The report said that about 10 million jobs will be added in the tourism sector by 2028. India, the 7th largest travel and tourism economy globally, must work to improve its tourist infrastructure, they added.
