India launches all weather roads projects

To let the armed forces, reach China border smoothly, India has launched “All weather roads” on Monday. From Tanakpur to Pithoragarh the stretch will 150km long and work has begun there and is scheduled to be completed by 2019. The cost of this road is around Rs. 1065 cr. excluding the cost of three bypasses that will be there. Nearly 7000 trees would be uprooted for this 12-meter wide road.
