Goa to get solar-powered ferry boats by June 2018

If everything goes as per plan then goa’s inland water routes will get the solar energy-backed ferry boats by June 2018. River Navigation Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said that the proposal of new boats will be ready in the next six months and the ferry would be ready to use in another six months. However, Kochi-based company, NavAlt, earlier this year launched India's first solar ferry in Kerala.
