Maya Bay on Thailand's Phi Phi island has been closed indefinitely to help it recover from the damage caused by tourists. The area, which earned fame due to Leonardo Di Caprio's movie 'The Beach', has seen a lot of tourists, which damaged the coral reefs, mangroves and the beach. Songtham Sukswang, the director of the Office of National Parks said that they need to close the beach to help the ecosystem recover.
