DGCA ends weight rules to stop gender based discrimination

DGCA is finally ending its Body Mass Index norms. There are stringent demand for a certain body mass for the air hostess category and it was often looked as discriminatory. However, from now on the overweight or obese cabin crew will be dealt by 'Qualified Cabin Crew Instructor' and then it will be decided whether that person is eligible to carry out various activities including emergencies as effectively as is expected.
