DGCA begins safety audit of airports, Indian airlines

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has began the safety audit of airports affected by the monsoons. Apart from the airports, the DGCA will also audit the safety of Indian airlines. An audit will be conducted by the aviation control body across the country in a phased manner. In the first phase, 12 airports affected by the monsoon will be audited. The audit has been started in the wake of the Kozhikode crash.
