Delhi airport allows UDAN flights from Hindon air base

Regional flights from Ghaziabad's Hindon Airforce Station will start from coming winter season as finally on centre's request Delhi airport has accepted proposal to allow alternative airports to host flights to remote towns, under the new UDAN regional aviation scheme. However, within a 150-km radius of Delhi Airport operating commercial flights is prohibited under a 2006 privatization agreement.
