Canadian government reopens border with United States

The Justin Trudeau-led Canadian government has reopened the country's border for fully vaccinated Americans. This comes 16 months after all non-essential travel was halted in view of the coronavirus pandemic. Vaccinated US citizens can now enter Canada without having to go under quarantine. Canada may further ease travel restrictions for other international travellers if the Covid situation remains under control.
