BRO Made World's Highest Motorable Road Near Chinese border In Ladak

A major success for India as under 'Project Himank' Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has built the world's highest motorable 86 km long road in Ladakh, J&K, at a height of over 19,300 feet. This road connects Chisumle and Demchok villages. According to BRO officials, this was a herculean task and BRO personnel had to face life-threatening challenges as the climate has always been unfavourable for building activities.
