BRO Made World's Highest Motorable Road Near Chinese border In Ladak

Content HeadA major success for India as under 'Project Himank' Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has built the world's highest motorable 86 km long road in Ladakh, J&K, at a height of over 19,300 feet. This road connects Chisumle and Demchok villages. According to BRO officials, this was a herculean task and BRO personnel had to face life-threatening challenges as the climate has always been unfavourable for building activities.
