Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri welcomed the decision of PM Narendra Modi to extend the lockdown in the wake of the novel coronavirus and said no domestic or international flights will operate till May 3. However, he said in his tweet that the government can consider lifting restrictions on flights after May 3. The aviation sector has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Many airlines have slashed salaries of employees.
