Amid the second wave of Covid in India, the Australian government has imposed a ban on the entry of those who have been in India within 14 days of the date they plan to return home, starting May 3. The ban covers Australian citizens as well. Those found disobeying the order will have to face jail or a heavy fine. "Our hearts go out to the people of India – and our Indian-Australian community," Health Minister Greg Hunt said.
