All passenger trains to remain suspended till May 3 amid lockdown

The centre has made it clear that all the passenger trains in the country will remain suspended till May 3 after PM Narendra Modi announced the extension of the lockdown today. Over the last week, a number of states asked the Centre to extend the lockdown till the month-end to contain COVID-19. Sources said that resumption of services was not discussed during high-level meetings at the Rail Ministry.
