11 Tonnes of Trash found at the world's highest peak Mt Everest

Nepalese government concluded its clean-up drive of the Mount Everest & said that it collected nearly 11 tonnes of trash that had piled up on the peak for decades. Along with the trash, 4 dead bodies were also collected & brought to Kathmandu. The clean-up drive, the first of its kind, was launched in mid-April, involving 12 high-altitude Sherpa climbers who collected the wastes over a month; which costs nearly Rs 23 million.
