The world's first fully-electric commercial aircraft took its very first flight on Tuesday. The aircraft took off from the Canadian city of Vancouver. The plane has been manufactured by Seattle-based engineering firm magniX in partnership with Harbour Air. "This proves that commercial aviation in all-electric form can work," said Roei Ganzarski, chief executive of magniX, after the flight. The flight lasted less than 15 minutes.
