After all the hurdles, online messaging app, WhatsApp is set to launch its payments biz in India soon, with the guidelines of RBI. The RBI wanted the app to store the data collected by the operators of digital wallets and payment services locally in India within 24 hours. Earlier, it wasn't ready for it, but now it has set up data storage facilities in India. Soon through WhatsApp, users will be able to make online payments.
