US Army opens investigation against TikTok

US Army will now probe whether Chinese social media app TikTok poses a security threat and will also ban the cadets from using the app on duty. The Army's investigation will look into the ties between TikTok and Chinese government, especially policy with data sharing. The official announcement hasn’t yet come but a circular has been sent internally. This isn’t first time US army has demanded inquiry against TikTok.
